Trader Joe’s shows utmost concern for their customers by recalling cookies that could potentially contain rocks. They ask their consumers not to eat them if they have already purchased them.
A supplier recently alerted the brand for potential rocks in their brand name cockies. Following this report, Trader Joe’s has recently said,
“Please do not eat them,” on their website. They have also added, “All potentially affected product(s) [have] been removed from sale and destroyed.”
Trader Joe’s has also asked their customers not to consume the recapped products and discard or return them. The retail chain has also mentioned offering full refunds for two of its products –
- Almond Windmill Cookies
- Dark Chocolate Chunk and Almond Cookies
Trader Joe’s has also apologized for the rocks in their cookies, saying, “We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience,” Trader Joe’s added.
Aside from two of these products, Trader Joe’s is also recalling Organic Tropical Fruit Blend. They explained that this product, too, “may have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes,”
However, there have been no reports of any health hazards due to the presence of the rocks in the products of Trader Joe’s.
